us on Twitter. Food critics call Lo-Lo's Chicken and Waffles the
best soul food restaurant in the Valley. And Larry "Lo-Lo" White's
fried chicken and golden brown waffles back up those claims. The amiable family
restaurants have been celebrated in publications from the Arizona Republic to
the Phoenix Magazine. Many consider the most popular dish to be KK's number
one: three fried chicken pieces, two waffles, two cheese-covered eggs, onions,
and a side of grits. However, save room for the delicious Sandy Sand's Red Velvet
Cake. Every Lolo's restaurant serves chicken and waffles all day, but Lo-Lo's
also offers Southern favorites such as catfish, chicken gizzards, collard greens,
grits, and the cheesiest macaroni in town. Lo-Lo's has been featured in
Phoenix Magazine, the Arizona Republic, and Food & Life Magazine as well as
The Learning Channel's newest reality television series "Comfort Cravings"
with Chef Art Smith. "Comfort Cravings", a behind-the-scenes look at
America's comfort food restaurants, is scheduled to premier in late March, 2010. Lo-Lo's
is also a celebrity favorite and has been frequented by guests including Amare
Stoudemire, Charles Barkley, Curly Neal, former Arizona Governor Rose Mofford,
Larry Fitzgerald, Too Short, Ken Griffey, and WWII Tuskegee Airmen heroes. KK's
number one: three fried chicken pieces, two waffles, two cheese-covered eggs,
onions, and a side of grits. Featured with a jar of Kool-Aid.
